how to improve the road 13th, the National road of Laos from the north to south. I found out that some part of road is broken and no one cares? some section of road nears the Mekong river is really risky and easy to get damaged from the floood during heavy rain?

What is it your idea to improve and take care the road?

we should invest a big amount of money to build high way with 6 lanes.. ...from Luang Luang Prabang- Vientiane-Parse.... or Vientiane- Parse   If we want to have sustainable and faster development.. other wise we will have to spend money just to repair the road....  small plus small money will cost us much anyway...

it's not necessary to build 6 lanes highway from north to south, all we need is build real high quality 2 lanes highway from north to south. build the weight checking stations on each province.

(6 Lanes high way from Luang phabang to Parksee) Are you kiding?? Last time i  was looking at (DOT) as far as i know, the only California that have 5-6 lanes. But not the hold State, only certain area, so the only Country that i knew that have 6 lanes high way is Mexico, i also not so sure that the hold Mexico have 6 lanes highway. What about a state of Texas, Because Texas is one of the largest state in the Union, anyway let' get back to to our topic. as i've seen in the Picture, It' look like we really need a Guard-Rail on the left to protect the commercial and passengers cars from flip over, so other than that maybe need some pavement here and there.

Don't you think it's too many lanes if our country have six lanes high way. Two or four lanes would be enough for the high way in Laos and just think about how many cars in Laos travel on the road today. In some large countries, they have six lanes or more that depend on how the road traffic is, and they don't have many lanes anywhere.

i agree it would be nice and helpful in the development of laos if their was a major highway connecting three of the largest citys in laos,

luangprabang, vientiane, and pakxe

i thnk that would connect laos alot and build a stronger community and economy

Right now, even with two lanes, Lao drivers drive in the middle of the road until they spot another vehicle speeding towards them in the opposite direction...can't imagine what will happen with 6 lanes :P

Anyway sections of HWY 13 are really mountainous, not feasible to widen it any further. There are already landslides every rainy season.

yes, mountainous road, how about make the channels? so to road  will be the shortcut from the Vientiane to luangprabang, but the construction will invest a large amount of money.

as for the 13th road from capital to southernlaos is not mouantianous road, so it's easiler to build the express way and straight one.
