Where can you get 12-14% interest on your money that is fixed?
I think you can invest in real estate, but it's not fixed.

Please let me know.

It must not be government insured. How do you get bank's contact?
It will tough to even get something like that.
I have $125K and I mind as well not doing business at all and put these money in the bank. Only if this is true. No bank would ever that high, the bank will be broke.

Hey! Kaoniaw, with all due respect but having an apartment complex is income for life and I truly hope you contemplate wisely before making any move.  Unless, the $100,000 is from your personal savings and not in the expense of selling all the units you have.  I have no doubt you continue thriving year after year.  What lucrative business in Laos may not amount to you are making now.  Please consider yourself as one of those lucky guys.  I envy your advantage of having disposable income and at the same time, I am happy for you LOL. :)

we are talking "if" and not at all real.
please come back and ask again when someone actually have real money. ha.

let say if you have connection, here are the things i like to do with that money:

lumber, telecom, and gov't.

lucrative, profitable or best return on your money.
again you must have solid connection from the top so you are not constantly
harassed by the local bureaucrats.

and only then you can you have peace sleeping at night.

Hey Bruce,
I am glad you still remembered what we talked about last time.
Actually this is the money that I have for a new venture if I ever plan to move back to Laos.
Cash flow has been great for me and I am still continue buying more properties and moving toward multiproperties such as apartments and retail complexes.
If you are interested in investing without hand on, you are welcome to be my angel investor. This is almost 100% sure thing and you will be making 10-12% interest on your money. This is not a madoff scheme or one of those get rich quick scheme. I buy properties 50 cent or less on a dollar.

As you know, I don't use my own money for investments. They are all generated by cash flow income that I have.
Good luck guys.

How can I possibly forget a smart Laotian guy like you LOL? Even though, it's been months since last time we talked, but my envy of your success stays with me ha-ha. I do want to have some chat with you but I don't think you want it to be openly like a public discourse. I am not quite sure how much personal information you are willing to share here, so I'd rather contact you through your email if you wouldn't mind. I've been thinking about investing some of my money too, but I don't have much disposable income though comparing to yours. Earning an interest of 10% to 12% is a lot more than once can expect especially at this moment. Actually, many people who invested their money in real estate a decade ago had become a multi-millionaire and I truly hope you are one of them. I hold you with high regards for that.

Bruce,
You can be smart at something but not everything. I don't think I am even there yet. As for real estate, I just happen to find the right person who is a friend and also a great mentor. We kind of feed off from each other with honest thoughts and opinions.

Well, I don't really have a lot of disposable income like you might be expected because most of my money is funneling back to the investment properties that I have. This is a long term investment strategy for me. I take greedy out of the loop and focus on what I love to do best and stick with the plan.

That is so true Kaoniaw; as we all know educated people sometimes lack wisdom and common sense then ended up in a worse position than those who may not be as educated as others but stepping in the right path can actually lead a person to greater success and happiness.  My friend’s friend did not even have a high school diploma; he started off as a real estate agent years ago and now he’s been quite successful ever since. He just got his broker license a few months ago, so he is now hiring real estate agents to work under him. I am doing OK financially, but it would be nice to learn something you. I am open to new ideas all the time. I will email you later. Thanks for a reply

invest it to teach people small-scale enterprise and then give a little money  to each trainee to start a new business. everyone starts small - and people should be taught income-generating schemes and educate them on this aspect. it's not enough to just give them dole outs. money is easy to spend. education is a lot more effective.

I love your blog. Are you the one that pose standing next to a woman's statue?
As for the this topic, before he can do that he needs to feed himself first. Teaching people with this type of skill can go a long way.
