Aw poor Lao nork that makes you jealous?

So what? All leaders of nations are corrupt. I rather have LPRP than some puppet gov that bows down to the USA

I don't get why you guys pick and choose to only see "corruption" in Laos when it exists worldwide. cry

 Free English lesson

I think Meshika is retarded and obsessed with this website.

Seems like Siam's education system is lacking.

I really don't care that much. I know you are not a native English speaker or anywhere close to native proficiency. You could be a Lao nork since they don't speak English that well anyway.

Hm since you hate Lao people so much maybe you are Hmong from America? Your ghetto type speech patterns match those of Hmong and Lao nork who try to fit in with gangster culture of the USA.

Most powerful families in Laos send their kids/grandkids to the US or Australia.

They like to live in big cities and drive maseratis and rang rovers.

Kamthais granddaughter Noy, who is not well liked in Vientiane,  is in NY right now.  Her sole job is to travel the world and shopping at luxury department stores.

Every and their momma knows Noy.  She used to hang out at Marina almost every night drinking and picking up men.  She seems to have mellowed out the past couple of years though.

Wanna talk about slang?  A lot of urban youth in Laos speak a mix of Lao/Thai slang/English slang.  Sometimes it's hard to understand them because they use so much slang.  Some people make themselves look more and more of an ass by how little they know.

Oh no american slang in Laos! You know its funny with you lao norks, if Lao kids grew up in a strict socialist manner with 0 outside influence I'm sure you would be running your mouth on how Laos is bannok. Now you run your mouth how kids in Laos talk with Thai and USA slang.... Can never win right?

Some people need to speak for themselves. Just because they look down on less fortunate Lao doesn't mean others do.

How many oversea Lao organizations have helped schools/orphanages/hospitals/etc in rural Laos since the early 90's?  Many Lao officials have great wealth and haven't lifted one finger for the poor.

"You poor?"

"Go to Thailand!"

Is the Lao solution for everyone else.  They expect others to be happy with substandard conditions and rising cost of living while they flaunt their wealth in everyone's face.  The Vice PM of Laos' son posted an instagram photo last month with tuna fish he said were 140,000 baht each.

With a caption saying his family was the richest in all of Laos.

That would be ignorable if he were not the son of the Long Naiyok Ratramontree.

No I say, if you care so much about your family's wellbeing then come to Laos and bring them to the promised land. (usa)

When most Lao left in the 70s, many  decided to stay. Why? Why did they have to abandon their home country? Why not stay and build up a new socialist free Laos. America told  most Lao huge lies and propaganda to get them scared and leave. America bombed their homes and villages and made them run to the city. They ran to the person who bombed and killed their homeland.

No quiet the opposite. When Lao Nork come to Laos they always act like they are big shot and high class.  I guess you only talk with the people you know or your "sources" who agree with you 100% on everything you say. I have never looked down on poor people because that is ignorant. I don't have a big fancy car or big fancy house and if you want to see what my things look like send me a private message. I'm tired of your stupidity and propaganda. hmm

It is the Lao nork who live in America that act liek America is some magical land where you go there and become rich in 1 week . Many Lao I know that went find out the hard way that its not so easy there. They have to lease cars and houses and have bills for life while in Laos yes life is simpler.

Many decided to stay because leaving was not easy.  Many died along the way at the hands of the Vietnamese who still run Lao till today through there Lao front men.  The Vietnamese do not have full control but have substantial influence.

Only a crazy person would deny that Laos is not in Vietnam's grip.

Even China has been bullying Laos to get out of Vietnam's grasp but even the Chinese leaning Lao leaders have told them it's not that easy.  There was a large Lao/Chinese business meeting last week in VTE and the Chinese told the Lao PDR officials/businessmen that they'll have to start repaying all the Loans of the past couple of years OR ELSE and they gave a long list.  It was an open meeting and it's common knowledge among those who do business in VTE.

Of course there are many within the Lao PDR ranks that don't want to be Vietnam or China's little woman.  You can deal with everyone equally and do what's best for your respective countries.

Nobody wanted to leave in the first place.  Leave or die in the seminar camps where 50% you planted of the rice went to feeding the Viets.  Where you were chained together at night and where men would deficate/urinate on themselves because they couldn't move.

I like how the Lao PDR of the 80s-90's, was spewing bull**** about how Lao that left Laos didn't love Laos.  But yet the majority of them had relatives in the west.  Kaisorn, Nouhak all had brothers/sister and children in the west.  Nouhak's son was still studying in France in the 80's.

If Lao Noks didn't love Laos why would they donate so much to helping Laos.  Why do they still practice Lao cultures, customs and still eat Lao food.  But hey some people don't want Laos to have culture.  It doesn't fit with Mao's vision(sarcasm).
