Lao ambassador presents credential to Iran President
(KPL) The Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Iran, Mr Lee Bounkham, on 18 July, presented his credential to the President of Iran Mr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The President of Iran expressed congratulation to Lao ambassador who will perform his new diplomatic mission in Iran. ‘Laos and Iran have a great long traditional relationship,” President of Iran said.
Mr Lee expressed his sincere thanks to the president for his warm welcome, and presented the greetings and best wishes of Lao President Mr Choummaly Sayasone to the Iranian President. Mr Lee briefed the president of Iran the socio-economic development of the Lao PDR.
Iranian President hailed the achievements of Lao government and its people in recent years.
Iran President said he got ready to expand the cooperation and relation with Laos, especially in the areas of agriculture, industry, and science.
The president also expressed his best wish to Lao Ambassador achieve his new diplomatic mission in the country.
The day before, Lao Ambassador also called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Mr Manoucheh Mottaki, who had made confirmation to further cooperation with Laos.

I wish we have a Canadian Embassy in Laos it's pretty bad that we have to go to Bangkok to get a Canada visa, it tooks a lot of time and money to go to get a visa
The new Lao ambassador to Iran is not actually based in Iran, he is base in somewhere else. So when i first read this i thought Laos was going to open an Embassy in Iran, in the end it wasn't. ..... Too bad.....
