Lao community in the US recently asked Alexandra to perform in the US, however, her rates has gone up so high that they cannot handle it. She requested $10,000 to bring both herself and her mom to the US including airplane tickets and living expenses that's not including other costs.
First of all, $10,000 means that everything depends on how many shows she wants/can do in the US for one month. However, she asked for $5,000 per show because her mom said that Grammy offered her $4,000 per show prior to this.
Do you think she still want to go to the U.S if she get lower paid?
The Money's gotten to her head. If she did 10,000, that would mean...
Say at least 1,000 people went to her concert, would be charged 10$... doing that math this way doesn't seem so bad.
But can she bag 1,000 people from the U.S.? I mean Sek Loso probably charges way more but we're talking about Loso here.
But 10$ only covers Alexandra, theres also arena/stadium/whatever rental, lighting, other bills, etc. So maybe the cost per person or ticket will be up at 20$. Maybe 10,000 isn't so bad? Depends on how you want to look at it.
Unrealistic demand indeed !She and her mom would have to wait a little bit longer to tour the US this time around. Here's the reason : she might have lots of fans in the US but they all dont live in the same city as she would have learned from her first US tour. So for now she should stick with Grammy in thailand. That's my 2 cents
I would like to refer to one of previous comment, in this comment he said when Loso performed in Us, is a kind of okay for the amount of money that Loso asked but not Alexandra, so for me it a litte bit dissapointed to see lao people could pay a certain amount of their money to see Loso a thai band, but not prepare to pay to see lao artist.....strange.
I do not want to say this but I heard one lao friend in Lao said the word ' HUR kon thai' something like that, but when come to lao people itself than....it becomes like 'NOT GOOD ENOUGH'. If alexandra accepted anything offer to her, than she may not a pround girl anymore and may become cheap stuff.

You use the wrong word. Then and than is not the same. In this case you should use the word then, not than.
It depends on where she goes and how much she asks for. If she asked 5,000 and went to Los Angeles, its resonable because there is a lot of Lao people living in Califorina. But if she came to Minnesota, only 2,000 Lao people, and asked 5,000, it would be too much.
Talking about Loso here, yuk people got into once's nerves.....we are talking about alex why mentioned about thai band....a kind of better than lao singer. I thought if lao community in US wanted alex to perform in Us then the community must organise the place and time for the concert to be on isn't it, so why saying that if alex wants to go here go there....another strange thing...how about each time lao community in america invited or asked thai band to go there? what did lao community in Us do?
Loso picked the state, city to come and told lao community there to come and see them?!!!!
No Loso most likely knew where the most concentration of his Fans were. It would be stupid to think he thought Alaska would be a good place to perform.
I don't see Alexandra's request unreasonable, only to an extent.
And this topic is about Alexandra and her request for money. I don't know what you mean by "Let's move on..." Maybe you shouldn't have clicked into this thread.
Alexandra is the daugther of Lao country, and Lao people love her very much and admire her. She is a Lao superstar. She builds a reputation for her future and for the Lao country. I'm Lao American and I support her 100%. Go Thidavanh you are a great model for Laotian.

I AGREE WITH YOU 100% Hello people! who wants to be paid so little for this type of performance? Would you?If you want to promote an artist this amount is not even enough for the performer and their cruse that help setting up the stage and every thing else. If this isn't the case, then money is what encourage people to do well in any line ofwork that they're doing, is just that simple!
I Think $5000 or $10,000 is not bad at all if they sponsor her to perform concert at the biggest lao community in the U.S especially in Fresno, Calif. peoples will pay to see her concert only if they benifit to the temple and lao community, and as for LOSO he can demand more $$$ it depend where his fan want especially to the Hmong community in California and Minnessota and i don't really think thai people will pay that much of $$$ to see LOSO unless it's BIRD (Thongchai)...

$5000. is too little for her, but $10,000. might be ok if she gets to keep all of it to herself. Long ago Lao people paid $40. per ticket at Thai temple to see Thai concert!
