JAKARTA (Nov 6, 2007) –Laos ended their AFC Under-16 qualifiers on a winning note by beating Hong Kong 4-0 even though they failed to make the final round of the tournament next year.
Despite Indonesia conceded a 1-0 loss to Cambodia in their final match to end the qualifiers on the same three wins and two losses from five matches with Laos, the hosts made the AFC Under-17 Youth Championship next year on the virtue of having beaten Laos before.
Indonesia beat Laos 1-0 to gain the advantage in the head-to-head count.
In the other match of the qualifiers, Japan completed their fixtures with a resounding 4-0 win over Vietnam.
