(KPL) Thee young Lao diplomats have recently received a short training scholarship from the French Co-operation Programme to upgrade English in Singapore from 2 to 8 December.
The scholarship was awarded on the occasion of the 10th anniversary founding of ASEAN Foundation and the cooperation between France and Southeast Asia Language Centre.
This year, 20 diplomats from ASEAN member countries of whom three diplomats from Laos were selected namely Mr Detsada Soukhaseum, Mr Kensavan Sipaseuth and Mr Sisounthai Keophosay from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They will upgrade on Europe fighting against climate change, energy, immigration and protection.
In addition, the young diplomats will also study the use of French for diplomatic negotiation and international relations such as formal conversation. This training will be a good chance for diplomatic corps to exchange lessons and enhance relationship in the region.
