Its called modernity. Women can dress however they want in modernity. They can also do everything that men do. If you don't like it then go back to your bamboo hut and have your little buck-tooth wife wash your feet and leave us alone.

look like prostitutes? you really think so?
i see just elegant and slightly sexy girls....i'm much more shocked when i see some young lao singers (like princess, etc..) who realy dress as prostitutes during their show.

About fashion style and tradition, i would say, yes women are free to dress as they like. Young ladies like to dress "modern style", and modern style can be very beautiful... or not... just depend personal taste and quality of clothes.

But there is a big big problem with modern style (not only for clothes, but alos for everything: behaviour, way of life...) : it's the same everywhere in the world. No more cultural specificity, no more identity, so this mean no more cultural richness, uniformity is boring (why would i go to Laos -long and expensive way-, as tourist, and enrich your country, if what i see in Laos is the same as everywhere else in the world? When i went to Laos for the first time i was very impressed by the fact that most of lao women wear traditional clothes.... because it's beautifull, but also because for me it's something new and unic i cannot see anywhere else in the world... now many girls in Vientiane wear western clothes, and this recuce the attractiveness of your country for tourists, for sure)

So i think, for a country like Laos that have the big chance to have a widely preserved culture, it's important to keep those traditional values and habits, and try to find the best balanced between modern but uniform, and traditional but authentical and spécific to Laos

I confuse between Lao Miss Morladoklok and Lao Miss Mornalok. To me the second name is more suitable to such a behavior with the black men.

Whoever posted this tell us where did this event taken place at?

Was it in Laos PDR, France, or Australia?

Is this New Year Party, a pageant, or some other even?
