Sabaidee Peenong Lao in America.

Whoever will become a President of America would be fine for Laos and Lao people as whole, as long as he will not support the bad people to make war in Laos, I suppose.

Actually, I don't want to comment on other countries' affairs since my nationality is Lao or in other word, I am not in a position to comment. Like it or not, I have to respect people choice.

You are really right. I agree with you.

Since we are not USA citizen, it is not good to comment about their affairs.

It would be great, if that would apply to other countries' citizenship people regarding Laos. They should know about this if they are educated enough.

However, I have doubt on Lao people having USA nationality. They love to act like their leaders. Look at Iraq example. No wonder we have often seen the bad comment to Laos from USA site, unfornately.

Regards,
....

If we don't say anything about Laos you tell us we forget that we are Laos and where we came from. We forget we are Laos. We support our troops in Iraq and Afganistan and you accused us of being bad American patriots.

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT FROM US????????????

Sorry, I don't understand about American patriot.
Is that you consider Iraq as a part of USA? If not how would you call yourself patriot?

As far as I know, American troops staying in Iraq are just occupants, killing ordinary Iraq people as much as more one million already, according to statistic given by internation agency.

Ok, let play the game. It don't matter where you live. Go to the site below and answer 10 questions. You will know which candidate share your view.

I tried it already. Mitt Romney was for me.

You need to be put to death for such stupid comments. Same with the comment about the blowjob. Fascism never fails.

The thing about Clinton is that a lot of people see her views as nearly Communist. Obama hasn't said enough, which I think is because he does not want to be criticize.

And no more Republicans. I'm sick of these old White conservatives.

My vote, on super tuesday and for the election, goes to Obama.

What this topic got to do with LAO. You bring other people affair and discuss in a Lao website, does this serve Lao interest, or benefit in anyway? For what reason that you posted this topic, and ask the question. For what reason, does it serve Lao interest or benifit Lao people?

It doesn't but, but the problem is, you aren't mother ****in Tojo or Hitler are you? You can't calll the shots. It's a public forum. No where did it ever say "please post topics that only talks about Lao people and Lao culture". I don't understand your reasoning; maybe you're thrown off by the name "Samakomlao", thinking **** here can only be posted about Lao topics. Public Forum, can't get anymore self explanitory than that.

GTFO and die in a fire close minded ****.

Name some Blacks appointed by Democrat Billy Clinton in a Cabinet position.

How do you explain his semen on Monica blue dress?
He lied about the blowjob because he doesn't think believe oral sex is consider sexual relationship.

What does President Bill Clinton's personal life have to do with anything? The fact that he lied is the main concern, your emphasis is on his sex life. Wishing you were the one to give him a blow job huh?

Also, how does Bill Clinton's appointment of whoever to his cabinet mean anything? What would that prove?

You are so ignorant. You either did not read up on the Clinton blowjob scandal in which he denied and found guilty by the judge. An impeachable offense for a President. Impeachment was drafter against him.

I am? I think you are the ignorant one. I awknowledged that, but you emphasized the fact that he had some sexual misconduct, not that he lied. Lying is what got him into trouble, not his personal business. The impeachment was because he lied, understand? I don't remember when or where I said he didn't lie, or didn't have some sexual misconduct.

The last U.S. President, Bill Clinton, had an affair and sexual misconduct with an intern in the White House. The problem with that is that he lied UNDER OATH about it, which was the big problem.

The point is that it doesn't matter what the man did with what woman, the point is that HE LIED UNDER OATH.

Surely in Laos people will not be affected by the new President of the United States, but the U.S. has a huge global influence that any descision will be felt around the world.

Perhaps it might be more helpfull to tell our freinds from the Lao PDR why we are talking about how we choose a leader. Our system is different and they might not even be aware of how our democracy works.

In the USA anyone can try to be leader and we have many political parties, the most famous are the Democrats and the Republicans, but we also have the Greens, the Libertarians, and yes The Socialists.

Now we are choosing who from each party is going to represent that party in the general election. To an outsider these elections might seem contentious and adversarial. We bring up the sex life or drug use of candidates and talk about them openly. We think this is a lot of fun.

Ok, I'll try to make it a little less involved, no winner take all delegate states or punditocracy.

All Laotians would be interested to know that one of the candidates ate squirels when he went to university. A Lao person probably wouldn't find this unusual at all because we all know squirel and kao neeow is simply delicious and the best thing this side of, well, frogs or jeao mang da, but in America it's highly unusual.

anyone know who I'm talking about?

Can you try to be a leader of USA? Probably not, I suppose. You are not rich enough.

Honestly, I would be really glad if I hear that one of our Lao-American person is President of USA, although I doubt that I can hear for next 1000 years.

That means something is behind your democracy or what do you think?

Last night, Japanese TV program made a quick question to Obama and Clinton about "How is your impression of Japan" during their busy schedule. Here is their answer

Obama: " I love Japan"

Clinton: " Good"

From these answer, many Japaneses tend to cheer for Obama rather than Cliton biggrin

I too think Obama would be good for Asia, he spent a lot of time growing up in Indonesia and is the child of an imigrant.

Mcain likes to make war too much, but helped to normalise relations with Vietnam, but he didn't eat squirel.

Humble beginings and the White House, re is it possible for a not rich person to be leader.... Bill Clinton certainly came from a humble back ground, single mom worked as a nurse, drunk step dad beat mom, Arkansas. Lyndon Johnson, that guy that made the Vietnam war big, certainly came from even more modest a background. Very poor during a poor period of our history and a poor part of a poor state. I'm sure he knew hunger. To be hungry over a long period is to be very poor. I'm sure some reading this know what I mean.

Lao American as president? President is the only office that you have to be born a US citizen. So that rules out quite a few. I read the blog of a Lao American in California who graduated from Yale, seems headed to law school and is interested in politics. Will she be the first?

Here is a hint. The squirel eater is still in the race.

Can you try to be Prime Minister of Laos?
You know only member of LPRP can be selected to become Prime Minister.
Average person can not  become one in LAOS.

OK, you have to be rich to do this because it cost money to go from town to town. It cost money to put advertisement on TV and Radio.

NO THANKS to McCain for passing the stupid law which limit donation amount. So you have get lot of people, hopefully people with money, to back you. Or you can come up with your own money first.

Forget about Laos, it's not democracy country by the form you want.  We are talking about USA.  The exagge democracy type you want to import to the rest of the world.

It's time for all of us to support some of our laoamerican for the next president. We have to work hard and start right away. What do you think?
why do we have to fight with lao gov. if the president is hmong ethnic, then we will resolve all of hmong problem in laos, vietnam and thailand(Bring all of hmong in the US) Please smart ppl sleep on this!

I have a idea, why don't you try for senator or governor first, not to mention President of USA.

What is the connection between rich and American style democracy?

Is it your democracy is only for rich people, especially those people who produce weapons in America?

BTW, if all money of USA for war were put for global development, I think, people around the world, including American people would have been really happy. But why they need such stupid policy to kill people who are innocent?
The answer is really simple, because the money that used for advertisement on TV and Radio or for president campaign came from those who produce weapons, nodoubt. Now, they want money back by selling weapon to USA government.

democracy has a wide meaning that I hardly understand it . for me the word democracy only exists in books or on slogans...but it doen`t bother me very much as long as I could buy what I like, having a job, could built my house like what I love and being always with my close relatives , friends and family, living peacefully, it is a kind of democracy that we are enjoying right now in Laos.

Chip, I suggest you begin your education just by looking it up in a dictionary. You seem to confuse peaceful existence with democracy. In general democracy means people get to choose their own leaders, this usually happens with some sort of vote.

Last night I went to a caucus. All the members of my party decided on who they were going to support for election. Even when we disagreed with someone we didn't call them names or send them to seminar in Houaphan.
