I certainly wouldn't hold dollars, better in Baht. Chinese Yuan is pegged to the dollar so I'd expect it to follow USD, of course many say Yuan undervalued to help exports, I'd agree, someday soon Yuan will float, when it does it will shake things up.
I got out of real estate two years ago except for house in the US and small amount of property in Laos, likewise very small investment in Emerging Markets, US market, US bond market. Now I'm in cash, just wish it weren't dollars. If you have a field to grow rice hang on to it, next 5 years might be very bad for exports from China and Vietnam and Thailand. Big downturn coming.
