Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Nam Vinhaket, noted that Laos still has some problems that need to be solved, such as some ministries having very wide-ranging responsibilities, leading to a lack of expertise in specific fields. Many ministries also suffer from a lack of qualified employees. Another problem is that some Lao products are of low quality and production tends to be seasonal. The slow release of new information affecting the economy and the lack of coordination between sectors are also of concern. By Phonsavanh Vongsay (Latest Update March 27, 2008)
