hey i remember seeing this youtube clipp too i also was wondering if it was a real movie but i heard sumwhere that it was just clips of 2 movies put together but im not too sure just giving wut i know... but that would be great if there was a chao fa ngum movie and plus have any of you guys ever seen ancient weapons of laos ??? i was just wondering. i know we used swords but i wanna if laos had any armour or anything like that, that would be cool.

I guess these are just clips from Thai movies such as Suriyothai, Bang Rajan or Naresuan the great. Laos never made a "real" historical movie, yet, would be great though.

It would be cool if Lao could make movies about Jao Fah Ngum, Sethathirat, Suliyavongsa, and our greatest hero, Chao Anouvong...However it would take years to do such projects, because there must be archaeological research on costumes and weapons, a setting built specially for filming including palaces, temples, houses etc, and it requires a lot of people and elephants...

I think these projects will attract the Lao people, especially our youths to have a better visual understanding of our nation's past.
