ITS TIME TO TALK ABOUT LAOS PEOPLE UNITING
Permalink

The time and atmostphere is right to talk about Laos people all over the world uniting.  The time is right now.  Laos is opening to a market economy and will need skill work force.  Insteading of importing work force from other countries like Thailand and Vietnam.  Laos government should start inviting the educated Laos decendent of the post war in Laos to return from USA, Canada, and so on.

Alot of educated young men and women, would love to come back to help train
and educated the Laos work force.  They also would feel proud to help their own people. Laos helping Laos to me is alot satisfying and handouts from other countries.

These young and women just want to help and intern have some political change.
There should be a compromise between the two parties.

I think it time to talk about real changes.  Not that food and fashion is not important.  The government of Laos should invited Laos university student abroad to visit Laos.  Like exchange of ideas and dialoque.

I dont know if there is a program as exchange program at this time.  The people with political influences should start this process right away.  I'm sure there are people outside of Laos that have high ranking official in Laos as relatives.

Compromise must be made.  Or Laos and Laos people will never be united for another 100 years.

We should start with Laos and who knows maybe or the TAI people will united under one country, just like the european union.  Its a dream, but like Dr. King said, he too has a dream.

I'm all for the re-uniting the TAI people.  Its seem like all countries a aligning themselves.  Why cant all the TAI people, we are of the same race uniting.

I know Laos is a very proud people and country.  We must give up something for the better of the race.  The Siamese gave up their whole name to start up a new country called Thailand.

But first we must unite ourselves, the Laotion people.

The Lao Government has already extended the olive branch to the Lao Expatriates community overseas. The ball is in the Lao Expatriate's court!

Children of Lao Expatriates May Become Citizens According to New Law

Laos National Assembly, on May 12, approved the amended nationality law which, among other things, allows the children of Lao expatriates to become Lao nationals, provided one of their parents is a Lao citizen. Lao refugees who have kept in touch for seven years with the Lao embassy in the country they live in may also request their Lao nationality back.

Foreigners and persons of no nationality who have lived in Laos for 10 years may also apply for Lao citizenship if they renounce their own nationality.

The move to amend the nationality law is aimed at providing the opportunity for the Lao diaspora to return to Laos and participate in national development.

Listen to our Laos Today report for details in Lao.

I think it time to forgive and moved on.  Laos should build a road for full democracy, like the American or Canadian system.  No Monarch and no communism.  Just straight foward decomcratic.

Change our new flag and start agian.  I think its the only option we Laos people have.

I don't believe so. Although a single party state creates the unlikeliness to change. Social democracy works, its mid way between Communism and Capitalism. Capitalist societies turn out to be greedy and individualistic. Neither is good, find a common ground.

I don't believe we need to change anything with how the government works, I believe the government will change in the response to the people.

And the Vat belongs where all the sangha is, not just in Laos.

What I've always wondered is this:

Communism is the extreme Left, extreme liberalism.
Fascism is the extreme right, extreme conservitism.

How does the Communist party of any country end up becoming very secretive and conservative? Or maybe the correlation between Communism and extreme liberalism does not exist like how I thought it would?

I know alot of Laos blame Siamese for the destruction of Laos.  But after carefull study of the history, i dont think that the case at all.

First there were the Khmer empire.  Their empire crumble, and out of that came the Lanxang Kingdom.  After the bickering between the Kings, Lanxang also fell.  Lanxang for a long periond was under the control of the Siamese and Vietnmese. When a Kingdom is not strong enought to defend itself, others will seek to take  it  or destroyed it.  It just not Southeast Asia history, but the world history.

Today its has not changed.  Laos is still under the control of other countries.  But we have the oppitunity to change.  There are so many educated young children of Laos abraod, we must used the resource we have to rebuilt our country.

The young people of laos need a leader.  One leader who truly believe in us and our people.  A uniter and not a divider.  A person who can understand both side of the issue.  He is not a Communist nor he is  a Monarch,  just a hero and a motivater.

I went to visit Laos last year. I left Laos when i was 2 months old. So i dont know about the Communist regime or the Monarchy. Some of my relative in Laos are policement and government officials. I dont hate them and they dont hate me. They were glad to see my parents and vice versa. We spent two weeks touring and drinking Lao Beer.

I'm touch by what i see in Laos. The country is beautiful. Its calm and quite, the people are nice and the landscape is breath taking. Its was a big change from the life in North America as i know it.

I think we all know the history of SE Asia. Let's not get into a huge debate about what exactly happened. I cringe at the thought of this topic spiraling towards that discussion.

There is a person I talked to last week. He grew up in Laos and was sent to live in NYC on a permanent mission to the UN for Laos. He grew up in the states, received good education, and is now returning to Laos this summer. Honestly, I whole heartedly see this person as a good leader to bind Lao from all aspects of the world to advance the Lao people. Maybe he posted in this topic?

Considering the amount of war and destruction in Laos's history. The country i think is still very large. We should not get discourage by the land we lost. Or the people we lost. If we build they will come. Trust me they will. I know i will.

The process of finding a leader who will lead Laos people wont be easy i know.  But we must find him.  Lets have a conference in North American and elect the right person who can communicate with the Laos government and the world.  And dont forget the Laotion people.  Laotion people need to be inspired by some one.
Hey that could be YOU!

Chinese will over take the US as the major economic in the next decade.  Read the news.  Learn some Chinese.  I think the more language you know the smarter you are as a person.  As a human being.

Indeed, you'll know about me within 10 years ;)

Wow!!! It sounds good for the first part, but the last part of the topic article seems to be nonesense.

I think that Lao people have united to build Laos prosperous, probably since long time ago. This policy our government has always pursued. Lao people love and help each other. As a result, some also have mentioned earlier that now Laos has changed a lot compared with the past 30 years ago.

Laos is open to the world. Lao government has always welcomed foreign investors, including investors whose race is Lao. They trust the curent Lao government policy. Lots of foreign investors are now doing business in Laos. Laos has changed dramatically.

For those foreigners who love Laos and want to be Laotian or Lao citizen, there is a law for them. Lao government always welcomes the move. That would help Laos to get more talent and smart people.

Before you would talk about the last part of your topic, you need to look at our history. Many Lao people had sacrificed their live for our curent country. Their blood flooded our land. The American legacy still can be seen, that's Laos is the most bombed country in the world. That's why Lao people love peace, but not war like in Iraq and Afhganistan.

I don't think that Lao-foreigners serving foreign countries would dream about returning back to govern Laos as they did before. Lao suffered a lot in that time.

So, if you want to have or elect your boss, nobody in Laos would disturb you, but stay away from Laos.

So that answer my question.  This Laos person, according to him , Laos will be fine without other Laos help.  He is blind from his hatred.  Laos right now are being used by other countries for their own interest.  The growth will not sustain itself.  When the economic down turn reach Asia, the first country to suffer will be Laos and Laotion.  My relatives and yours IDIOT.

Hey idiot the last time i checked, Laos is still 10 of poorest country in the world.  Dont talk so big.  Do you think Laotion abraod are shaking in their boots because Laos dont want them back?.

What do i say to that?.  Do i hate him as much?.  I dont know?.  Let say I hate every word that he wrote and  i dispised his tone and i hate being part of his vision of Laos.  He disgusted me to my core.  What changed?, nothing.  Absolutly nothing.  I still have my home, my cars, and Laos still be the poorest country on the planet.  Nothing.

With an idiot like this guy, who needs enemy. Laos will revert back to the dark ages with his attitude.  I think i'll throw my support towards  Thailand.  GO THAILAND! MY NEW HOME.

ITS EASIER TO LIKE SOMEONE WHO THINK LAOS IS A SECOND CLASS, THEN TO LIKE AN IDIOT LIKE YOU.  A LAOTION WHO HATES ANOTHER LAOTION.  YEAH, I'M TALKING TO YOU "LAO SPY".  OR MAYBE YOUR ARE JUST A C*CKSUCKER.

Just want to help Laos buddy.  Dont be so negative.

If Laos economy were to boom.  Its still 10 to 20 years behind its neightbors.  If you know alot about history.  Do you think that Vietnam and Thailand wants Laos to past them.  I dont think so.  Its about power.  Laos will alway be under the thumb of Vietnam and Thailand.  Since the begining, they want to erase the memory of Laos.  To them Laos does not exist.  THe more Laos hates Laos the more the neighboring countries are happy.  The King of Thailand still think Laos is part of Thailand. And the Vietnamese think that Laos belong to them.

The Cambodian are building their country.  Do you think, they want Laos to past them.  Do you think all this countries gonna invest millions of dollars in Laos, so that Laos will be equal to them.  Think agian idiot.  Take you head out of somebody ass for 2 second and smell the stink.  Year i'm talking to you "LAO SPY"

Yes, it's time to talk, because now the American economy is getting worse. Some Lao-American people probably lost their jobs.

But I wonder they wanted to to come to Thailand? Is it really hard for them to stay in America.

Another thing that I would like to express is that why do some even do not know Lao language want to be the boss in Laos?

Who would be stupid to talk the traitors, I just wonder?

Thanks so much Rocker for your compliment and support. You are my friend in need. You are the person who always expresses opinions that I really appreciate with regard to Laos.

Actually, I don't bother much about the fact that they blamed me something bad when I disagreed with them.

I just expressed my opinion on behalf of Lao people. So, even I agreed with them doesn't mean Lao people would agree with them.
