(KPL) The French Language Centre has been appointed centre of examination for the Master’s degree programme of the Stendhal University of Grenoble (France) for South East Asia. This centre is the first to open after Tokyo and Beijing.

The representative of the French embassy, pedagogical adviser who is responsible for this centre, MR Maxime Gaudin, explained “this is a big honour to be chosen among all Asian countries”.

Students from all over Asia especially from the Philippines, Vietnam, Australia, Thailand and Sri Lanka will come to Vientiane to compete for their Master’s degree through the VALOFRASE Project. They will take the examination from 6 to 17 May.

Lao students and Lao teachers have an opportunity to obtain a Master’s degree through VALOFRASE. The French Government with the help of the University Stendhal of Grenoble has begun classes for a Master’s degree in French language and teaching through TICE and e-learning.

More than 14 teachers, most of them coming from the National University of Laos (Dongdok campus), the Luang Prabang and Paksé universities, and bilingual French secondary schools registered.

The course fees paid by VALOFRASE for each Lao teacher are 900 euros.
This is a great chance for Lao teachers to improve their skill and level and to continue their higher education.
