I thought it was spelt wrong, so I asked my mom. She said it was right. I thought it was spelt "ບັດເຊີນ" Anyone care to explain? It the first one an old spelling or something?
My parents also refused to write my invitation in Lao. Which utterly made me mad. You're going to invite mass amounts of Lao people to a party, and you don't want to write it in Lao? They also did not want a baci sou khoun ceremony.
ZAK may be your parents don't want associat with lao traditional. or maybe they not want to spend alot money on that. are they(your parents) lao? if yes may be they are shame to be lao. why you not ask them? why they not want to do it?
No meaning for the ບັດຊີນ in Lao dictionary, the right one is ບັດເຊີນ or invitation card
yea.. this is the correct way of writting it.. Zak's parents are wrong!!! Zak you should send them back to Lao Adult School.. hahhahahah just kidding der..
No actually it wasn't my invitation, it was a neighbors. I swear it was spelt wrong, and I guess I was right. I feel bad for that family.
My mother doesn't want to have one because she says its too much work.
My father doesn't even want a party, so he didn't even want to write it in Lao. I thought he was going to, so I waited a few days... only to find out he wrote one in English. I coulda done that!
I think they live up the Lao stereotype of doing things half-assed!
