(KPL) Customs authorities at the Wattay International Airport in Vientiane capital seized 8.8 kg or 30,000 amphetamine tablets on 11 July. This was the largest quantity of amphetamine tablets seized at the airport for the past few years.
The tablets were found in a black luggage. I t was carried by two air travelers and they are Chinese.
The seizure occurred at 20:50 last Friday when the customs authorities brought this luggage to be X-rayed and discovered the amphetamine in it. “The packages was hidden inside two speakers placed in the passengers’ luggage,” a customs official said.
The Lao customs authorities asked them for their passports and they began to look for their documents. They said they had placed them in their car and then bolted from the customs area.But they were soon caught by police and customs officials in front of the Department of Civil Aviation.
The suspects have been detained for further investigation by police officials. They are Mr Yu Tao Liu, 38, and Mr Ren Xiang, 20.
put them in jail for all their life! such people just think about their personal benefits and are able to destroy the world for that! they are just s h i t!

i'm glad that the custom agents found the drugs.. but, i wonder how many times these chinese been doing this before getting caught??
the last thing Laos need is more drug problem.. i really hope that Lao government will send the message to them chinese or anyone trying to bring drugs into Laos..
the next move for lao government is.... to go up to Vung Vieng and clean that city up... any tourists get caught with any drugs will do time.. only way to send the message..
