Vientiane (VNA) – The World Bank (WB) has decided to provide 40 million USD to help Laos reduce poverty and boost socio-economic developments.
The financial assistance was decided last week in Vientiane , the Lao news agency (KPL) said.
The grant will be used for several projects, which are involved in the tax and trade facilitation, infrastructure development, and the poverty reduction fund, according to KPL. –
what you guys think??? how much of those $40 mil. will be going to the poor folks? how are they(laos) going to be able to pay back all these loans??

Only $40 millions? if only $1 million goes to the poor folks, it is good enough but in the real world in Laos, it goes into the darkness we will payback by selling all our natural resources, until Laos become a dessert

The money will go to fund various Lao Government's poverty eradication projects. It will benefit the entire Lao population.
The Lao Government are not require to pay anything back. It is a grant, not a loan.
