(KPL) A total product of the Lao Brewery Company (LBC) was slumped by 25%, after a four-day flood across the country.
A giant company, LBC in Laos has been affected by flood due to a total amount of beerlao products decreased from 60,000 to 30,000 crates per day. Mr Khamsone Phenglatthanavong, Sale Manager of LBC told KPL news last week that we were unhappy that the net sale our products dropped for four-day flood. This was difficult period of Lao people across the country met flooding. This is because local people have to stay at home to closely monitor the water level of Mekong River and many parts of the country have been flooded.
He said that a four-day flooding throughout the country, the LBC has lost many billions kip as it estimated that LBC would lose at least 5 billion kip per day.
Normally, the LBC produces about 60,000 crates per day, after flooding in many provinces the volume of production decreased by 30, 000 crates of beerlao per day.
He added that the net sale of beerlao slumped immediately which affected to the payment obligations of the company to the Lao government. The LBC has recently disclosed that beerlao covered by 99 per cent of domestic market and exported to 15 countries. The company is a main contribution to the national budget which 500 billion kip was contributed to the government.
I wouldn't give that interview during the flood. If they haven't done it already, they should send out a volunteers to put up floodwall. Maybe give out free bottle water. Now that what KLP sould be reporting and would be free advertisement for BeerLao too, instead rof reporting on decline profit.
Oh....because BeerLao control 99% of the market so it doesn't matter.
