I Post this topic just want to ask the Laotian-American about the Election in the USA! What is the Laotian-American think about the 2008 Presidential election in USA? Do you support Obama or John McCain? why?
I am not Lao American but sometimes, American politics influence the economics of a small asian nation like mine. So, sometimes one can't help but be concerned about the on going US political scene.
Obama seems to be a better deal than McCain. First, Obama is young, and youth always have broader acceptance to things than the more conservative older generation. Then there is the fact that McCain, when once asked how many houses his famiy owns, CANNOT EVEN RECALL how many houses he owns. Maybe he is so old he can't recall? But that is unlikely. This smacks of old politics where the rich get richer - and honesty is thrown out the window. Just a thought.

It was a "no win" type of question-answer media reporter love to get politician stuck in. He he had said I own 10 houses they would report he was so rich he got 10 houses. Since he said he doesn't remember now people thinks he is too old.

thanks
American needs change.. needs more job and by voting for another Republican to take over the office will not help the U.S. As most people can see, the U.S. are in debts due to the war with Iraq.
I'm voting for a change.. I hope that Obama can make a change and it will not happen over night.. Obama and Biden hopefully can turn things around. If something would of happen to Obama, i think american are in good hands with Biden. On other hand, I can't say the same with Palin
If votes were taken today, Obama would definitely win.
Obama gets my vote, because I am young and I am a Liberal. Conservative ****s have screwed this country over the past eight years, why should be stupid and let it happen again?
that is very true, lan_xang. reporters love putting people in a bad light by catching them off guard. maybe he just forgot but as i said, that is highly unlikely. how can anyone forget how many houses he owns? it's like having children, just coz you have several children doesn't mean you forget some of them - unless there are some of them that your wife doesn't know about. when i say mcCain is old, it is a very objective statement. he is old, and not just coz he forgets things.
whatever happens withg that election, i just hope that he sets his sights to do something good for everyone, and not just for the very few. he can start by also including more benefits for the minorities of the state.
yep you're right OBAMA should've pick HRC to be his VP but i am still going to vote for OBAMA - we need change, and our economy sucks right now. The populations of SJCA in the height of dot com was over 1millions when clinton was in the office and the economy was kicking butt, now it's about 923k left, most of the workers now are H1 visa from other country - WE NEED CHANGE so go vote for OBAMA.
