Are Republican’s policies good for Laotian-American?

I am not Laotian-American and of course, have no right to vote

The Second Annual Laotian American Republican National Convention will be held in Fresno, California this weekend on Sept 20, 2008. The convention is expected to gather more than two hundred Laotian Americans from across United States.

The co-chair of the National Convention, Vannasing Antoine Keodara and John Norawong talked to VOA about the purpose of the annual event is to gather Laotian American around the United States to promote and endorse John McCain for the President and Sarah Palin for the Vice-President of the 2008 National Presidential Election.

Vannasing says… “The whole idea is to gather among Laotian American Republican around the country to support and endorse the Republican Presidential Ticket. In addition,

we will educate and expand the Republican’s policies to participants to go back to their communities and work with the local people to elect the Republican candidates. We will also network with the local officials to express our needs.”

“In addition, as a citizen of this country, our first and priority civic duty is to come out and vote. For me, as an employee, as a businessperson, I agree and strongly believe in the Republican’s policy and I think that it will benefit the Laotian American community better. Do learn the different between the two parties and I highly encourage every one to exercise their rights by voting, and yet vote for Republican.”

The Laotian American Republican National Convention is supported by the three grassroots organizers: the Lao Ngay Republican Society of U.S.A, the Laotian American Republican Party and the GOP of the Fresno County Republican Party. Both co-chairman of the event will give a welcoming speech and state the purpose of the gathering and the reason why they are supporting the Republican tickets and follow by the speech of the Fresno County-GOP representatives.

There is only 48 days left before the Election Day. The big two political parties are trying every effort to go out in the local communities to explain and show the people about their ideas and policies to make the United of America, a better place to live for all ethnics.

Is the Republican policy good for Laotian/American??  Hhhhmmmm.. I can't speak for most of my fella laotian/american, but to answer your question.  I don't think McCain/Palin will not be able to help majority of american.  American needs change and turn this economy around.  It is been long 8 years since the republican took over the office.  Most american wants change and let's hope for the best.

I'll be voting for Obama/Biden.
