Vientiane (VNA) – Vietnam and Laos have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the extension of the Vietnam-assisted mapping project for the 2010-2015 period.

Under the MoU, the two sides agreed to extend the project to survey and map the Lao territory.

Besides, the Vietnam Department of Survey and Mapping will help human resources development and equipment for the Lao National Mapping Department.

Vietnam will also send experts and organise training courses in the field for Lao officials.
