Yes, uncle sam should help lao to clean up, just like the little boy said, it's not our bombs go tell those who own the bombs to come and take them back....

i heard there are organizations of lao ppl from the U.S. that gather and donate money to help get rid of these dangg bombs. but it seems like its never enough...

any ideas on how to get rid of these thikgns faster. these stupid bombs are really slowing lao down on devloping its land and releasing our potentials.

my idea would be to buya large tractory type machine i saw on tv one day. where it looked like a huge steam roller but with large chains at the end and it just went through fields of unexploded bombs and took them out. idonno wut do u guys think ???

any ideas on how to get rid of them faster ?

america sucks. they think they can drop bombs on everyone. its ironic how the only atomic bombs ever dropped was by america, and now america (government) is paranoid about other countries, like north korea and iraq, producing atomic bombs too.
maybe japan will sympathize with us. we have good relations with them, they are rich in technology and funds, and the US dropped devastating bombs on them as well.

That was a war between the Us and Vietnamese, where was Laos?
first of all, I want to say ****ing War! ****ing people who wants to make a war, because War never treat the civilization well. secondly ,very sad to hear that Lao people are still hurting because of unexploded bombs during the Vietnam War. hopefully the UN other international organization and the Obama /Mclain government should be considered to give us more the money to clean those deadly bombies up.

USA has a big obligation to compensate Laotian people for the last of their life. Each person deserves to get pay at least $50,000/yr.

i think so. thats why my family isnt as close-knit as other families. my gramps (actually great-uncle) is VERY old fashioned.

Black and Lao people came from monkeys. Beside, native Americans are asian people. Loas is one of them. You probaly know Lao has many different tribes. Don't you get it. Native Indians are Laotian people. Now,can I be the first person to get pay? Waiting in line is too hassle.

and in case you were wondering, lan-xang, i don't support the royalists. i DO believe that they deserve basic human rights like the rest of us and should be respected as a cultural and historical figure. but i can't say i agree with communism either. i think laotian people should be given more rights and freedom.

i don't want to sound ignorant, but i dont think black americans should get paid. their ANCESTORS sufferred. not them. they are actually better off in america today than if they were living in africa. a majority of them have severed ties with their homeland. if someone asks me what ethnicity i am, i would answer ASIAN. if a black person (over 90% of the time) were asked the same question, they would NOT answer with AFRICAN.

they always say they are black people whose ancestors from AFRICA
NOW THEY ARE AMERICAN, THEY NEVER FORGET THEIR ROOT, BUT I THINK THEY HAVE the same feeling as Asian, no?

the bottom line is: they aren't suffering today as their ancestors did in the past. the past is history. it's not like they still have to worry about bombs exploding in their own backyards every day.

The difference is the bomb will not explode or kill you if you dont go near it or play with it.

Money can't competely cleaning up the UXO in Laos,
at least, 100years later if the scope of Uxo Project will be extended working.

lan xang, anyone who chooses to live in the US that is not white is subject to receiving racist treatment. (including blacks, hispanics, asians, etc..) that doesn't mean they should get reparations, unless something is evidently affecting their progress. also, they are not PHYSICALLY suffering, for example, family and loved ones getting blown apart by bombs. and fear of getting killed by bombs prevent them from being able to work on their farms or build new homes, etc.. anyways, in modern times, the majority of people in the US is very tolerant towards other races. there are alot of people here of mixed races, and people are beginning to accept eachother as fellow human beings. there is even a very high chance that our next president may be a person of mixed heritage - OBAMA.
