where does Lao military import the weapons?

Maybe from Russia.
Many russian cars are still runing in the city !

I'm not sure where Laos bought their weapons from. I think this question can be answer by our buddy LaoPeopleArmy.

If I have to make a guess? I think most of the weapons in Laos probably came from China and Russia.

Laos dont need weapon when there is fighting they just used another people from other country to fight for them.
Laos is smart people that is why American goverment love them here in america. Why you think they have war in vietman?
They used thailand to make a base camp and bomb the hell of vietnam.
They want these people to come and support their country, if you can compared to china big country and laos is small, why they pick laos rather than china?

Very simple, smart head and brave everyone like it. Even thailand cant build their country without laos supporters........

Correct me if I am wrong!

Laos spent small amount of money for weapons. Most of them are surplus given by Government of Vietnam.

Maybe buy beer and nice car better.......Who is going to fight laos, They love laos more than anything............You think Thailand have a gut to fight laos?

Those jet fighters they just to keep it for hunting or happy birthday celebration for dec 2rd of every year.
LAos no need Air defensive, everyone is scare once they name is who the god father of SEA....you name it and you already know it.

Thai is a user for laos when they need them for something.

Sabaidee Everyone,

The LPA are now producing its own small arms and munitions. We recently acquired a license to reproduce AKs from Russia. Majority of our heavy equipment and hi-tech air defense systems are Russian. Military transport and logistic are 90% Chinese. Clothing and furnitures are produced locally.

The PRC are currently assisting the LPA with its modernization programs. By 2020 80% of LPA inventory will be equipped with Chinese weapon systems. The PRC are currently training Lao helicopter pilots in anticipation to the purchase of attack and transport helicopters from the PRC.
