Does this mean Thai, Tai, and Laos are the same people?

Kingdom of Lan Xang

[edit] Kings

The following is a list of kings of the Lao empire of Lan Xang, founded in 1353 by Fa Ngum. The reign of the last king of Lan Xang, Sulinya Vongsa, ended in 1694, however, the kingdom didn't officially end until 1707.

[edit] Champasak (1700-1946)

Champasak broke away from Lan Xang and this establish the Kingdom of Champasak. The Kingdom was transformed into Principality in 1904, and continued to exist until 1946, when the Kingdom of Laos was formed.

[edit] Kingdom of Vientiane (1707-1828)

Kingdom of Vientiane was formed in 1707 as a result of the split of the Kingdom of Lan Xang. The Kingdom lasted until 1828 when it was annexed by Thailand.

[edit] Kings

[edit] Kingdom of Luang Phrabang (1707-1946)

When the kingdom split, the Luang Phrabang monarchy was so weak that it was forced to pay tribute to various times to the Siamese, Burmese and Vietnamese. After a particularly destructive attack by the Black Flag wing of the Chinese Haw in 1887, the kingdom of Luang Phrabang chose to accept French protection.

"Fa ngum Exiled as an infant to Cambodia, the Lao prince from Xieng Dong Xieng Thong (called Muang Sua when the Lao claimed it from the Khmer Empire in 698) eventually married one of the Khmer king's daughters and in 1349 set out from Angkor at the head of a 10,000-man army. Fa Ngum organized the conquered principalities into provinces"

DOES THIS MEAN OUR MOTHER IS kHMER?. AND CAMBODIA ARE OUR STEP BROTHER?

"In 1368 Fa Ngum's Khmer wife died. He subsequently married the daughter of the king of Ayutthaya, who seems to have had a pacifying influence. For example, she was instrumental in welcoming a religious and artistic mission that brought with it a statue of the Buddha, the Phra Bang, from which the capital city was renamed Luang Prabang."

DOES THIS MEAN THAI IS OUR MOTHER? BECAUSE WE WERE THE SAME RACE TO START WITH. AND DOES THIS MEAN WE ARE BROTHER AND SISTER BY BLOOD?.

"In 1694, however, Lan Xang fell prey to a series of rival pretenders to its throne, and, as a result of the ensuing struggles, split into three kingdoms in 1707: Luang Prabang, Vientiane, and Champasak."

DOES THIS MEAN, WE HAVE NOBODY TO BLAME ACCEPT OURSELVES FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR KINGDOM AND NOBODY ELSE.  WEAK KINGDOM GET CONQUER!.

This is just pathetic. Do you know about Khun Borom history? That where you oughta start with Lao history. Why just start with Fa Ngum, and for all those Khmer lovers, your mothers are Khmer if that make you happy. Listen to Lao history that someone posted on Youtube, by typing in Lao history and you will see the list of all those. eg

What does Khmer and Lao have in common other than Fa Ngum married a Khmer princess? Does that make all Lao mother Khmer, if you say that it's the same as you're disrespecting your own mother. The list you made above are from the same origin, except Khmer. Muang Swa, was Champ before the Lao came down from NanChao. If your mother is Khmer doesn't make other Lao mothers Khmer. Lao and Khmer linked by mother in today, what kind of statement is that. It sounded so much like someone doesn't know his/her history.

How about this relation?

Rumors say that Sisawang Vathana was a son of Kmer king, but Sihanou was a son of our King Sisawang Vong. They were changed by French ruler when they were the small kids in France.
