of course, no one expect to see the terrorists attack in Laos, but no one knows when the terror will be in a country, I am so curious of the Laotian commando when the emmegency occur in Laos. the laotian commando are well trained?

National Police like to cary folding stock AK, also nice clothes, no uniform. Good weapon handling discipline, seemed alert and aware of surroundings, I thought Lao special police seemed pretty good, polite and professional. Quality doesn't always mean how fancy are the clothes or the guns.

Of course, Laos is the one that small, land lock and do not have a high qouality weapon like they do have in the U.S...els. But we can provent the country with the heart and the life.

Not so heavy, maybe 3 kilos full of amo, I think AK very good rifle. Everywhere in Laos is AK. In Mumbai they had to send these comandos down from capital on airplane because none in Mumbai, regular soldiers there have SKS semi auto, not so fancy.
Hat and boots not important, bullet go through safety hat easy. Look at magazine in photo, small caliber bullet, I like AK beter 7.62, more heavy so some one shoot they go down, stay down.
Those Indian commandos are carrying close quarter weapon. It is compact and easy for carrying in urban combat and inside building. Since the bullet is so small it is not so great if the bad guys are wearing bullet proof vest with plate.

There was an incidence during the border wars in the early 80s, where our commando was able to penetrated into an enemy's camp and raised our Wong Deuan flags on north and south posts inside their camp during night time. As for the result of the incident, those camp were heavily bombarded by their very own jet fighters.

Those guys are probably near 60 years old now. Yeah, what about now. I like to know too.
Do you want uniform? or quality, but the real lao commando is you never know and see them how does they look like, but they performance is the best.
I think when we talking about uniform here in this discussion due to miscommunication by people here I think we meant the gears and weapons needed to make your soldier better at their job.
nowsday, if you want to be the best at your job, you need to get a better training, the most modern to date tools/equiptment and the best leader. otherwise it will be just for the expensive show or showing off. take e.g. why you have to send 150.000 soldiers and can not find where is bin laden. if you send the best team of 100(hundred), you just pay them firmly and they will do the job. how comes peter took the interview and had lunch with bin laden (he showed the evident on CNN), a the whole 150.000 army did not even know he is heading or in wich country is he now ? and how much we pay per day for all of this show. some from CNN said it is just $100.000.000/day. ppl please don't complain about recession, the money must come from somewhere right.? cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer my fellow!
