it was cool she was speaking french
but about the kids not knowing how to speak lao..
it is hard for kids to learn it because they are living in a non-lao speaking country
cant blame them. but its up to their parents to teach them

We have tried to speak Lao language to our kids everyday, but we have to go out to work and let our kids to be taken cared by the babysitter for many years and they are shy to speak Lao in front of their friends and peers and then after many years they can't speak Lao no more because they no longer live with us when they have grown up. Now, they can't speak Lao no more.

You should stop working and take care of your children instead of somebody take care of them and open Lao shool for them, everything is come from  your  family. you should give more to stay with them and do not go to drink and casino

Do you think it is easy to leave the job to stay with your children so that they can learn how to speak Lao language? And you think people like me like to go to the casino for gambling? Do you know where is the casino in the State where I live? What's a stupid thinking.

I don't see Lao language and Lao culture as one. I know a farang guy that speak perfect Vietnamese but he doesn't understand the culture or tradition.

The kids were too scare and staring at her halloween makeup. They also have no clue what she is doing like recording them for TV.

Knowing culture is good but not know how to speak Lao does not stop one being a Lao.

They didn't forget.they just dont know how speak Lao since they were born.
especially if a family that have more than one child they talk english
or french between themselves all the time. however they can understand
Lao as most parents talk to their children in Lao.

you know nothing about people live in over sea, they work more than 60 hours a week to put their  kids in the college or university to have a good education and carreers.  unlike some one, taking a nap in the middle of the day and worry just to get through the day.

It's very difficult for the younger kids to know how  to speak Lao becaue they live in the society that has not thing to do with Lao, from spending most time in school, talking to friends, watching tv....

But i've seen some one tried to learn Lao Languange through the internet when he was growing up
