I heard that there are 146 households locate in the Mekong river bank of Chanthabouly and sisakthanak districts have to move to other places . as you know the flood hit vientiane last year and it will be dangerious for the residents in a coming rainy season .
The fund of this project is $ 47 millions USD and $ 37 millions is the low rate loan from South Korea and the rest of amount is funding by Lao government.
Many residents don't want to move away if the compensation is so low..
i think,it is neccessay to move away from the dangerious location ,but of course the compensation must be a resonable price.. otherwise, who is willing to move and get a smaller house with bad environment..
