Vientiane, Jan 16 - Thailand's Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya arrived
in the Lao People's Democratic Republic on Friday in his first
official trip abroad since assuming his post in December.

The Thai foreign minister met with the Lao deputy prime minister and
his counterpart Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith Friday afternoon at the Lao
Plaza Hotel to introduce himself on taking office.

In the evening, Mr. Kasit called on Lao Prime Minister Bouasone
Bouphavanh at the Prime Minister's Office and visited the Thai
consulate in the capital Vientiane which has been renovated to
facilitate its work and improve its service.

During his visit, the Thai minister has reviewed the readiness of
concerned Thai authorities in preparation for the official visit of
Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, scheduled for January 23.

A welcoming reception for the Thai foreign minister and delegates was
hosted by his Lao counterpart Dr. Thongloun late in the day before the
Thai minister returns to Bangkok.

They are in the same position why should Thai FM have acted like that?

I got a feeling that someone wanted to cheat Lao FM.

Just my thought.

As far as I know, the Ban Rom Hao is supposed to be Lao land according to the map which was agreed between Thailand and France, but so far Thai people still live there, though.

As of end of 2008, in this area there is still no actual border line between Laos and Thailand according to mass media.

Yes, the free lunch could relate to this matter, though, Khonthakek.

You are both intelligent observer to posted photo

Do you ever heard about "love-hate relations"?

Lao & Thai cannot be moved from each other but have to stay in the place forever...

I think Thai FM shows us his politeness and respectfulness.
