There are a lot of small companies doing the same. I used to get water delivered in Nang Taeng by an American Hmong guy that maxed his credit card, took out a second mortgage (all this in the US) and skipped the country back to good old Laos for his retirement.

BeerLao almost has a monopoly on that too. I don't remember drinking anything but.

Personally I'm not sure how well that would work. I have a relative who used to do the same, but sold the business...I'm assuming because he wasn't satisfied with the profits. From that, he went into making ice and delivering it. He still has the ice business, but it's more of a small side job.

It' s a good idea considering the fact that people cannot live without water, but make sure your service would be better than others so that your drinking water can be sold.

Hey! Js  do you live in laos? you mentioned that you are looking for a Job! but if you realy mean that I may can help you, can you drive? or which town do you live in if you do live in Laos???

I don't really know. I think it was a pretty good size, but not 36,000 gallons. However, this was almost 15 years ago, so I would expect there wasn't so much competition as there is now. He sold the business, so I don't even know if they are still using the machines, but if he wasn't happy with the revenue back then, then now it must be worse.

The Ice machine that he has now is not that big. It's just a single machine at his house, probably about 600 gallon holder and a packaging thing.

There are some small companies produce the drinking water for big bottle. the price is 30000 kip per a big bottle (20L), but the quality and management of those company are still poor compared to  vientiane or the neighbor countries, especially the service and product.
Now, the people want to buy are good quality, good service and the outlook of water container is also to be nice and attractive.

I am still studying my bachelor degree now, will finish by April. So when are you deciding to start implementing your plan? are you currently in laos?

Well, I like the idea of setting up the business and willing to share my knowledge with you. I only will be able to commit after my study.

Besides, I think there can be alternatives if the drinking water idea doesn't seem feasible to implement.
