Just came back from Vang Vieng and found that many houses, hut, apartments are being built along the Namkhan river. It seems that no control at all at this place. It is dangerous, because Vang Vieng is another charms of Laos, and if it were completely destroyed by our own people, It would be not good at all. So who will care for this?
who will care? certainly not Laotians. They just rather have money in their pocket.
What make this place unique and beautiful is not that garden of granite in the background but the remoteness and the isolation of the civilization to the area. But if all these buildings are going up, it will lose that uniqueness.

Yes, that's great. Vengvieng people become rich. They can build their own new beatiful houses. That means their life has been improved.
i don't think that belong to Vangvieng people, I guess it belongs to some rich people from Vientiane or chinese. they just want to build a bigger guesthouse and motel. dude
My point's not important who's belong to that business, however I figuring local people can work there, event selling gift, or make bargette patteé for tourists in small coffee shop,we know how to using Namsong to be money event the air here also in high value; go go Vangvieng It's great job you did,and should be good way to go!!! please do not try to stop the money flow in our Dreaming city!!!
