I think it is a picture of the new talat sao (morning market) in vientiane.
they destroyed the old central building, and this one is the replacement.
I think not very beautifull, but at least, there is a part of "lao style" in it.. not as the first building of new talat sao, already built, that don't look like anything.

i thought they already built a thalat sao shoppin mall are they going to build another one ? i knwo they got rid of the old one already but when i visited lao they were in process of building one and it has already been completed
is this another one that they are going to build or add one ?
they already built phase one uilding. there will be phase 2 and maybe 3.
Phase 1 was an add-on building along the old buildings, then, they destroyed the central building, keeping only the old "U shape" building (surrounding the central). And they just started to built the new central building, for replacing the old one.
I don't know if after this, thay plan, to replace the old "U shape" building or if they want to keep it as it is now... or myab just improve it.
I really like the style, it's very unique. But I think Vientiane has enough of red colored roof, it reminds me of a temple, and this is a shopping mall. So why not have blue colored roof or silver would look more modern. Just my opionion...
I think that new Dalat Sao sucks, nothing there I'd want to buy and it's hard to get in and out of.
Dalat Kua din or Gua din or howerer you romanize it is hard too, can't enter from the front cause they've torn it up, have to use the alley entrance and the market is smaller now. What next Wallmart?
