We have generous countries to help us like USA,Japan,S.k,Aust.UK,,and S.K. Of couse,it will shine like star. Chinese your people live in Laos coutryn for so many year. Why don't you help us stead of eating our head. You alway want us want to be poor as much as you can you power.

Vientiane in next 10 years will be like this...

IF....If Laos Government never do anything or preparing for it. In next 10 years Vientiane population will be increase from 200,000 may estimated in next 10 years as 2,000,000

Vientiane will not grow that fast in just ten years. Other cities in Laos are growing too. The new Lao-Thai bridge in Savannakhet is helping the city grow, and its population might even surpass Vientiane in the near future. Also Muang Thakhek and Pakse are expanding too. This means that people in different provinces don't necessarily have to move to Vientiane.

Chinese will move in in millions and Laos will become a minority in our own country - look at Tibet!

Even if we aren't the minority, the ones in power (economically) will be Chinese - look at Malaysia! They even have to have a law that there has to be x number of malay directors in any public company.

Governments will still be corrupt - living their lives in luxury from Chinese money.

Our people will still be poor!

Unless you guys - ie. oversea Laos with biz know-hows and capital- come back to Laos and do more biz

Pure blood Lao

Any predictions ?

Laos is still call Laos but the pure Lao Ethnicity will be the minority and still very poor who are still live in the countrysise and remote area and still be the trash and second class citicizen. Also the Lao people in the city are stll living in the slum . There will be 10 million more Chinese become Lao citizen and own and control most the bussiness and the land . Soon the Lao people and culture and language will be mixed with Chinese and Vietnamese and everyone will use the chop stick to eat and then Lao Culture , languages and people soon will be extict in time. Only one good thing Laos is still Laos country but there will be no Lao speaking pure Lao just like Lao-chinese speaking Lao like the Chinese singing Lao song so do you really understand the words that the Chinese sang .

Soon Lao culture and language and people will be exticted. The new Lao people will be the Chinese who become Lao citicizen and they are not mixe with Lao . They will never be mixed theirblood with Lao people because they will marry with only their own and still be the upper class people . So they never going to marry pure Lao people who are living in the slum and the country side and remote area who are in their eyes as the Lower class people to them. So Laos country will be just a second country for the Chinese.

it is the future that no one knows it will or will not happen, why wrrying about what cannot be ? lao people is lao people, why mixing with others ? and don't forget that we have law and regulation... but we have to work harder to keep our country smarter but don't , please don't expect that laos will stay still , it surely will change and move dorward, we have to prepare ourselve to cope with it.

So do you really think the laws and regulations will stop them. They own the government and they can change the even the constitution and laws that money could do sad but it is the truth.

I hardly see that Chinese are hang around the Lao people only the rich and power in the government and their own people.
