Compare Beer Lao and others brand with quality and price
I think the price of Beer Lao it ways too high. In USA one
six pack of Beer Lao cost about $8.00 plus tax.Don't know
why price is that high while labor cost in Laos are very low
that's why they can't attract Lao oversea consumers.

           Very good promotion to make Lao people to become the liquor or alcolhol  which will destroy the  Lao youth brain and mind . There are too much Lao alcolholics already. I saw only promoting Lao people to become alcolholic and nothing to warn about the danger .

 well ,in japan if we buy in asian market its about ￥250/bt but if we buy at thai-lao restaurant its about $5-6/bt  . so if we compare with beerlao in America with da price as $8/6bt  <--- this really cheap for me .
 in fact the export price of beerlao is just $6/case(24bt) (330ml/bt) this price is to BKK port . 
 so for someone who Don't know why price is that high while labor cost in Laos are very low and thinking that's why they can't attract Lao oversea consumers.
  i give you   for some reason why beerlao price is going high when selling here .
 becoz i trying to import beerlao to japan too . one problm for me is  : alcohol tax is ****ing high 
   1. if i  buy 6$/case ==> 0.25$/bt  <-- this price is to BKK Port  ( and have to buy 2200 case ( 2 containers ) at least )
   2. we have to pay more for transfer from BKK-Japan its about $7500
==> + $0.14/bt 
  3.  import tax = $0
  4 . a consumption tax  (5%) = (0.25+0.14)x1.05 =$0.4875/bt
  5.  alcohol tax ( in japan we have alcohol tax) = 1000L/$2200 -->$0.726/bt(330ml)
 
---->>>    total = 0.4875+0.726 = $1.2135/bt
   
 this price is just start  from importer . so when its in market  and if you need profit  .the price must be around  $2-$2.5  <--- this is in japan asias  market . 
  i have no idea about beerlao in USA ,but may be alcohol tax is not so high like in japan . 
  so , if i think just rare price $0.5/bt ==> $3/pack(6bt)   so if you need profit it must be $6-8 /pack(6bt)<-- it normal price for me i need to drink beerlao

they warned against smoking, it is ok but said nothing about alcoholic brewery. I don't like smoking but as i know the tobacco never cause car accidents, never initiate any fighting but in the contrary, drunk people does and how many people died or become invalid from it yearly ?

  To educated the  Lao people and warn the Lao people are very hard to do because the majority of Lao people are not educated any way . So they are going to smoke and drink and die , the Lao government will not care as long as they are making money .

So any body could be alcoholics even the famous movie stars and the billionair , doctors , president so they don't have to be drunk on the street. Just inform the youth about smoking and drinking are danger for the health. Drinking damage the liver and stomach  and destroy the brain cell...etc..That are the warning to every body not only the Lao people my friend. The tobacco companies dinied that smoking caused cancer for so many years . When the teenagers  see the advertiving that is cool to drink when they start soon or later trouble will follow  personality , family problems  school and health problems..etc.. Jai Yen Yen Sa Hai.

good to know, pen poo xay ka hup khuamjing not like other  na to mia  say thing   leo bor ka hup, i agree with you that the cause of drinking and smoking, i not again you but the thing that bother me that the word ''uneducated lao people'' why have to put lao people down. and say lao gov not care about it. so every country in the world that produit beer that mean  every gov not care for they people just like lao gov. 

 

maybe some countries impose a higher tax on foreign beers in order to protect their domestic brands?

i've seen men in Laos getting dead drunk, though usually it's at weddings & other celebrations. what i don't like are Vientiane tuktuk drivers who think they are still capable of driving safely when they are drunk! & there seems to be this trend towards drinking alcohol at temples in Laos during celebrations & temple fairs - even saw it happen in Luang Prabang last year. foreigners keep asking me, if Lao people are Buddhist, why do they drink so much?
