Look into the Patouxay, or victory gate in Laos, you will see some police use this place to sleep during day time. I don't think it is appropriate. At least, Patouxay is not a hotel or sleeping place for them

That's terrible living conditions for those policemen.  I thought the government have a housing or base for them to stay?  Maybe, I am wrong to assume that.  It is a turn off, if you're a paying tourists and walk up the stairs to see bunch of cops sleeping there.

Must be old picture. It has to be around 10-20 years old. I was there. I climbed the steps and no one was sleeping there. They have shops inside the Anousavaly (Patouxai). There are tiny shops at the base, 2 levels each with vendors and the usual stuff to sell to tourists. There is a tiny shop on top too.
