Do we need a grammar/ spelling police on Samakomlao?

Nearly every single post in Samakomlao is written improperly some way or another.

I realize that this is a casual discussion website, but seeing so many horribly written posts by 'Lao nork' is just shameful.

Little mistakes are okay, but these aren't little mistakes...

I don't think its good to have newly beginning English speakers reading such improper language.

It's good to have grammar/spelling police here , and how do you know these mistakes are from only Lao nauk? I thought visitors who visited this web site are from all over the world.

I think no need to correct the misspelling or grammatical errors.we use English as  second language and English is not our pasa mother. it's fine as long as understanding  each other. don't complain too much about everything,Lao people...you guys complain too much.

Only the hard head people don't want to admit their mistakes and learn from them.

uh we don't need that

this is not an english essay confuse
what annoys me is the constant rude corrections some people make to those whose english is'nt their first language.

I think politely correcting grammatical errors and spelling will give benefit not only Lao users but to other nationalities (whose native language is not english) visiting this site as well. I hope those who are being corrected will not take it personally, rather use the opportunity to learn the right way of saying things. This could be a good venue to learn english particularly to Laotians who are just starting to learn/ study english. That will  be a bonus for them, in addition to learning and widening one's perspective on different things and issues concerning Lao and its people by listening to other people's ideas/ opinions.

But we also need to accept that sometimes if one has limited time and (maybe because he or she is only accessing through and internet cafe) the person may unintentionally type the wrong key resulting to mispelled words or maybe there are so many ideas in his  brain and the process of putting them in writing need to be fast otherwise the ideas might get lost, thus, resulting to inadequately constructed sentences. What Im trying to say is lets not also be overly critical. wink

Cheers!smile

Who cares. Spell and write as best you can and I'm glad you post. I find most corrections to be petty and small. I wouldn't want to try posting in Laotian!

This is a free lesson you should consider it as an opportunity for you to learn English  which your parents don't have to spend tons of money to send you to learn English  in an institution. So stop acting like such a Moran and be great full to those that cares enough

OK,

At not in an institution, if I'm sent to reside in an institution I'm afraid I have more problems than correcting English.

It's moron not moran and you don't capitalize it.

grateful not greatful.

care not cares

But ya, that's exactly why I don't correct peoples English, I mean who cares really.

Ha ha this is fun! its like a game! Those who are correcting others are also making mistakes. But no worries we are all just human... subject to make mistakes.

Those who will write perfect sentences and paragraphs will receive a kiss from me..... in your dreams...biggrin

Oops! I thought it was a grammar/spelling police who corrected my message , any way you're still wrong to have correct my sentence as (someone that cares) to someone that care because cares is being used in the active tense making it the correct tense to be used in that context

Watches are a beautiful thing. Certainly, they tell us the time - but aren't they so much more than that? replicas watches Through their watches, a person can express so much, and in a way it could be said:replicas watches Show me your watch and I'll tell you who you are.
