Obtaining marriage/divorce records in Laos

For marry with woman in laos,
or to divorce from woman in laos ?
You need marry certificate ,
or divorce paper ?

I'm worried for my brother. I heard his fiance may not be legally divorced from her husband back in Laos. How can he obtain the divorce paperwork from his fiance and her husband?

Your brother is in USA, his fiance is in laos , right ?
His fiance has husband before and she need divorce paper, after she will marry with your brother, right ?

My brother is in the U.S. His fiance is in the U.S. She does not seem very honest and I heard she is still married to her husband in Laos. The LAW is you cannot be married in two countries or to two people. HOW DOES HE GET THE DIVORCE RECORDS? HE NEEDS TO SEE THAT SHE IS NOT MARRIED.

i think the sample one, Head of village can give the papers, it needs step by step.. from village, district, province and Ministry of foreign affair.

I cannot physically go to Laos right now to get the papers. Is there someone I can contact there to help me gather this information with me being here in the U.S.? I understand there are steps but I need the contact information for the head of the department. What is the head department that holds these records and how do I get their phone number?

Ok tell this woman send money(500 or 1000 $ ) to her husband in laos
for doing divorce paper.
After your brother can marry with this woman in US.

There has been talk within the LAO COMMUNITY that she is not being truthful about her divorce. People have heard she is STILL married. How do WE find the divorce records to find out on our own whether or not she is still married?

Brother, How well do you know that girl ? if the girl is really divorced , i think it's sample to get a divorce paper and a paper to prove that she was divorced as long as she is cooperative she just need to her relatives in Laos do it for her and send to you.

-the approved certificate from the village and local police station
-if she was legally devorced there should be a record of village and local police in the place where she was. so it's simple to get it.

-the problem is, she came to Us and left her husband and child behind, this is illegal action and the law of Laos and Us won't be allowed to remarry without the divorce paper. good luck.
