Hmong New Year celebration...  Boun Kin Kieng..  girls and boys chit chat while throwing the tennis ball back n forth..   I don't know why and where they came up with this type of celebration... I can't answer you that cause I'm not Hmong myself.

for courtship. they keep throwing the ball back & forth, if a guy keeps throwing it to a girl, means he's interested in her...if she likes him she'll throw it back to him :) but if she doesn't, she'll keep throwing it to anyone else except him, & hopefully he won't be too thick-skinned to get the message ;)  the younger kids just join in for fun & to practise for the day when they're old enough to date.

Interesting! And I like their colorful clothes. Is it true that Mhong women can not marry without making her own ... I dont know how its called.."that thing in front of their skirt." No offense coz I know most of our friends here are Lao and maybe disinterested, but I personally find it equally interesting to know. Gratitude to anyone who can shed light on this. Thanks!
