I think the lyrics of this song, though I believe is not yet well tranlated in english, sounds better and more encompassing unlike to first one posted in the past, which was biased ot Laos.
In terms of lyrics, this song is not too bad comparing to those of previous Seagames and after all the listeners would not feel any difference but the same song being sung in different language. In terms of instrumenting, this song doesn't show anything of Lao being. Although it has to be sung in the modern style but Khean, Pin, and Vod should somehow be included. It's sad that Lao is not brave enough to make a difference when this is only a chance in years! I have listened to a song of Thai national sport competition being held in Ubonratchathani couple years ago, the song was written by Ajarn Sa-lah and sung by Tai Oratai, it was so touched and expressed the being of Ubon and Esan people; besides the instrumenting was both modernized and Esanized. Personally i feel like Lao Esan people are Ad-cha-ri-ya and are too Lao in Laos but this day there seems to be many of them are too getting lost in the circle of westernization.

the real one is not release yet, perhaps, we ll see in the Opening seagames
This song's lyrics doesn't sound bias as the one by Sam. The rhythm is more suitable for playing in gay bars and the singing of the song is too soft is like he's serenading.
If I have to choose between the two songs I would go with the first one , because without sounding bias its lyrics have a deeper meanings, the singing and the rhythm is powerful and official . I can feel the marching of the people at the Sea Game from the song. Your effort for the song is appreciated and best of lucks.
Every time I listen to this song I feel so gay . From a straight man who like techno musics ,but I don't know about this one . There's so much going on in the song it's just one big noise like an out door market.
this song was good but the MV was suck.. you better try harder, i think pp want to see something about laos not just only you here. I've seen only ur pic on this MV and it made me feel quite boring...
For you who make this MV i dont understand what are you tring to present? SEA games or yourself.
I'm sorry you didnt enjoy the video. I am the person who made it.
I just put some photos on there from the seagames website blog.
I did this in just less than 10 minutes. The only thing i was concerned with was letting people hear the song and just share some information about the sea games. its not like its an official thing you know? just a fan made video.

Hi, bip o1
For a minute I was scared that this might be the song for Sea Game. I think the lyrics was good in Lao language , but in English it sounded like an essay written from 8th grader and as for the tune is just too instant and more like for a discotheque atmosphere well anyway if you ever came across Cells & Sook's new songs and videos can you please post it here? or do you know where I can get Sook's cd ?until then I hope you do no stop posting any more stuffs and I appreciate for your effort. Why corny musics is so well liked by Lao people in Laos and old Laotians abroad this is why many of the new generations do not want to listen to Lao musics it is hard to relate to and most of Lao cd is not that cheap either. My advice to Lao music entertainers to please do some more research about what kind of musics that are popular not only in Laos and neighboring countries, but also over seas as well. I hope this will clear up the concern as to why Lao music is not getting the attention among the new Lao generations over seas . The only group that we find that are very good and easily to relate to is Cells we considered them as Lao Linkin Park . Linkin Park is Proffeshinal band that's famous in U. S. A . and world wide. We also like Sook and Lang too! these singers are well liked among Lao teens abroad . We hope to see Lao misics industries move up to cater to not only the locals , but also over seas.

Perhaps the reason why it isn't gettingmuch attention by lao overseas is the lack of promotion. Most don't know about the modern lao music scene. I've encountered many and they always are clueless about it.
BTW different people have different tastes as well. What you might find corny may sound nice to someone else.
About your comment about Lao music should do more research on what is more popular, I don't think it's really necessary to find something popular. Things that are popular are sometimes overrated.

;)
I would like to point out about lack of promotion to Lao music industry due to bad quality of music and unwillingness to be an open minded to accept the feed back from fans from different parts of the world which only indicates that the entertainer is lack of professionalism and only interested to entertain a small circle of friends and family for free to avoid any criticism and there for Lao can forget about promoting its music beyond the Mekong river. My conclusion is Lao music industry is stilll in the cave man's age and unknown to the world and even its own young generations over seas.

Having listen to the song, here are my comments:
1. The speaking part (starting from under blue sky and so on...) is too strong, and sounds like the singer is in a hurry to go somewhere. It would be nicer if he speaks with a softer tone.
2. The singing part (starting from let’s come together and so on...) is fine, simple and easy to listen to.
3. The phrase “Lao people, of 6 million hearts” I assume this referred to Lao people in Laos only. What about Lao people abroad? who have well wishes for their motherland to be successful on this special occasion. Should they be included?
Same boring old style far from modernization and sophistication! you listen to one you listen to all. Lets have new idea and better sound technique please ! is this all you can do?

Did the singer sing Vientiane Game? if it is ... than is incerrect. It should be Sea Game and is in Vientiane.
All along I thought the one that sung by Sam Inthalapithak was the real song for Sea Games and it was pretty good ! with the sound of chorus in the back ground if I'm not mistaken and I think the sound the drums pretty powerful it sounded like the marching of the athletes , but it's too bad that the singer didn't included other nations that are also participate in the Sea Games so that they feel the song is about everyone not just the host. On the other hand I think this song was meant to cheer & encorage Lao ethletes before the actual game. What ever it is, I like it even more , because the lyrics was well written of an expression for Laos and Lao athletics and I just hope to see a big live band playing at the games instead of only one singer and pre-recorded song.
