Throughout the past, Laotians have been a fan of Indian music/movies from their Bollywood films. Wouldn't it be great if we could adapt their attitude of becoming more modernized in terms of the entertainment industry? Within recent years, the Indian entertainment industry has experienced a boom in popularity while being able to maintain tasteful and keep its respect to their culture. I'm sure the newer generation of Laotians are capable of doing the same. In doing so, they may attract a wider range of fans. I am sure that young Laotians actors and actress can do everything like Bollywood and Hollywood if Laos government allow Lao Entertainment industry to do so.
this is true. but everywhere, an underground music scene exists. if they can establish something steady, surely it'll gain momentum and the mainstream will eventually pick up on it. even though the government is rigid, once they see something lucrative they will more than likely want to take part in it. so you can't really place ALL the blame on the government. it's more on the person's unwillingness to explore. people should learn to take chances.
