An Afghan woman was allowed refuge in the USA after escaping from her hometown that was recently ravaged by rebels. She was so happy and excited to have come to the US and looking forward to start a new life.

So as soon as she set her foot on the American soil she approached a woman and said "American thank you for letting me come to America." The woman replied "Sorry mam Im not American, Im Filipina."

She continued walking and met a man at the taxi bay. She said "American thank you for letting me come to America." The man replied "Sorry madam Im Laotian."

Then, she got off from the taxi to eat some luch at the restaurant, and she approached another man and said "American thank you for letting me come to America." The man replied, "Sorry miss Im Mexican."

Finally she walked on the street and bumped into a French woman and said "Are you American?" And the woman replied "Nope Im French."

Confused, the Afghan woman asked "Where are the Americans?" And the French woman looked at her watch and said "Working!"
