The government should create a website where lao people can show their ideas or give feedback to the government. This is a good way to demonstrate their democratic right. and this can avoid violence.

Any one here who are children of Lao leaders, please tell your mom and dad about this.

Please the lao government comes and visit Samakom lao website.

Do we need to follow America?

Are you saying if America have that website than Laos should have it too? and since America does not have the site than we SHOULDN'T have it either?

Why do we need to follow all the time? Why don't we set example or lead in something? Setting up site for people to voice their idea and opinion is not a bad idea. But I doubt if Laotians will say anyting bad about the government.

Don't worry about your precious psuedo commnunism selling it to the worl as socialism. Your precious LPDR will remain communist the rest of your life time and even beyond.

A false ideal of the democracy can lead only to disillusionment and to meddlesome tryanny. if democracy cannot direct affairs, then a philosophy which expects it to direct them will encourage the people to attempt the imposible....   The private citizen today has come to feel rather like a deaf spectator in the back row, who ought to keep his mind on the mystery off there,  but cannot quite manage to keep awake. He knows he is somehow affected by what is going. Rules and regulations continually, Taxes, annually and war occasionlly, remind him that he is being swept along by great drifts of circumstance. and that's why i was asking on my first comment '' What is Democacy,''?? i also believe there's a lot of Countries out there practiced or used a lot of the word '' Democracy.''  don't know how to use it. But abused..

In America, you can criticize US government in many ways. Most people contact whitehouse directly, some contact their representatives , some contact media, some use their personal webblog and some use social network like myspace, facebook, twitter, ..etc.
Right now, Americans are interesting in Health Care Reform at http://opendemocracy.net

Indeed, ther is democracy but what you can't do is to say "fucck off to the government or ask the government to resign"

You can give any feedback to the government but not using ruude word or using a protest. Any things you can say. you can say even that:  for example: this is not good way, that is not good project

Yes!! i do agree with you in some degree, Some of the Western Democracy's policies do not fit into some of the Asians Countries. espcially socicalist country like our Country Laos, N-korea, Cuba, China, But Why most Big corperatios in the U.S. moved their business to China?? easy, After Chair Man Mao passedway and Deng-zeoping took over he reform economy by openthe door to the West.Which i called '' Economic-Democracy,'' The distinction between'' political-democracy'' and '' economic-democracy.'' i regard economic-democracy as either the complement or fulfillment of political democracy. and sometimes they treat political democracy as less important than economic democracy. Oh, i ve talked too much already. i hope people understand what i'm trying to say or get my point across..

Watches are a beautiful thing. Certainly, they tell us the time - but aren't they so much more than that? replicas watches Through their watches, a person can express so much, and in a way it could be said:replicas watches Show me your watch and I'll tell you who you are.
