Why do hundred of thousand people from Laos go to Thailand to work ? Laos has a lot of income compare to Africa country and a lot of crop could be grow in Laos and a lot of food from farm.
Laos government not get much money for timbering, mining and hydro power dams but Laos high rank officials. Laotians went to work in Thailand because they don't have opportunity to work with foreign company in Laos.
Why Laotian doesn't have the opportunity to work for the foreign company ? It doesn't need a college degree to do none skill work . what they are working in Thailand and they earn less than $1 or $2 per day with hard labour. Why could they work in Laos ?. Where do they money from Dams, gold mine, copper mine , timbers , cement and garment ,Beer Lao ,rubber ,casinos and hotel . agriculture such sugar...etc. go ? My friend's uncle , he is a doctor graduated from France his salary is only $100 per month working in Laos he sacrifice the good pay in Europe and went back to home just to help the sick Lao people. So the other high ranks officials could not make too much more than an experience heart specialist doctor who graduated from france. Why Laotian go to China and Vietnam to work ? China is richer than Thailand . It seems like some member in SamakomLao are always have negative attitude to the Thai . But Thailand is number one investor in Laos and follow by China and Vietnam.
the need for cash allows people to buy and do things. ppl need cell phones and cars to drive and music to enjoy sometimes yes?
A lot of farmers and none skill Lao workers could not afford to own the computers and cell phone by earning less than $1 dollar per day but enough to buy food to feed their families and be happy.
