Oh man, he is not Lao but he is American and also mixed blood. I don't think he can even speaking or writing in Lao
If he's Lao he should promote Lao style design, Lao silk and culture to mix and match but this is just a game show. Anyway, good to see have creative idea to bring up some great designs

He is very creative and talented person...period!!! Regardless of what material or fashion style he is using, the most important is that its good to know that laotians abroad are making their niche in different industry and it only shows that if one has an open mind, persistence and perseverance despite hardship, success is possible. I like him better that couch potatoes who spends the whole day sitting in front of TV or computer or drinking beer.

He is always called 'Lao-American'. So I guess we can call him Lao cuz' his parents are Lao. He was born and raised in Ohio though. For someone who is self-taught, I think he's very talented.
It's not a game show. It's a documentary movie.
I'm just proud of and happy for him, and all Lao ppl who excel in what they do.
I must disagree! How you feel about your cultural identity is up to a person and not what you think he is or is not. And his or my profession for that matter doesn't have to reflect my cultural identity. It's a fee country here and I can be asian and open up a fast food chain promoting hamburgers.

We should all be happy for him. We don't hear too much about other Laotian doing something and he can inspired other Laotian to do something in their life. I find it inspiring and happy to see that he is kon Lao and hopefully he will help put us on the map. It's the beginning. Let's cheer for our Lao people!
I went on his www.narymanivong.com website and he is talented. He has a lot going on for him and big press too.
