Oh dear. Since when we become so picky on petty little things? Flower tubs look nice to me.

My concern is on maintenance, especially after the GAMES.

Personally I think it's logical. It's not practical to plant big trees in the middle of the road. Besides, Champa trees will take longer time to grow and once they are grown, they will be cut down because their branches will block the view [in the middle of the road]. Champa on the plots signify 'Laoness'. Other flowers are plotted because they are small [won't take up so much space/view] and will not take long time to blossom, just in time for the GAMES.

Anyway, there are lots of Champa trees being planted along the road.

In several years time, we'll see lots of Dok Champa in Vientiane. This will make our capital city very beautiful.
