The initiatives are the outcome of yesterday's fruitful bilateral meeting between Lao and Singaporean delegations led by Lao Standing Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad and Senior Minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong at the Prime Minister's Office in Vientiane .

Good new for Lao-noks, so they don't have to lay over in Bangkok. from Europ or North America. they just fly Singapore-Airline all the way.. savetime and money. Don't you think???
I'll believe it, when I see it!!!! Japan said the same thing about a year ago and still nothing is happening. Also, the Chinese talks about non-stop flight between Taiwan to VTE. Nothing is happening yet.
I have discerned about issue of direct flight from Singapore to Laos and Laos to Singapore since the visit of Singapore president Nathan. I think concerned parties are still collecting data to determine profit/loss issue if the flight is to be realized. Then what will Singapore provide between Tiger Airways or SilkAir? Tiger Airways (Budget airline) will prove to be suitable.
