After 35 years finally Lao government asks overseas Lao to contribute more for National development
Permalink Closed

The Lao government will not consider the past as a standard for future development but the Lao people in everywhere of the world should provide their efforts and contribution for motherland national development. The statement was said by Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh yesterday while receiving the courtesy visit of overseas Lao from Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and Japan. The overseas Lao arrived here early last week to attend the 25th SEA Games in Vientiane.

At the talks, PM expressed warm welcome and thanks to overseas Lao for their supports and assistance to Laos for hosting the games. He also told them about the significance of Laos to hosting these important games which is the first in history of Laos and in the connection with the 50th anniversary founding of SEA Games.

Although the infrastructure in economic and human resource are still limited but the government has highly decided to host this games based on the international conditions?, said PM Bouasone.

PM Bouasone also briefed them about the situation of the social-economic development in the country, which now continues to grow. He added the government has issued a policy to promote internal production which started from grass root level. ?
The government of Laos has provided a priority on poverty reduction and expected to eliminate poverty in the country by 2015 and to bring the nation from the list of least developed countries by 2020?, PM Bouasone Bouphavanh said.
To day, the Lao PDR has opened up the door for international co-operation and strengthens the co-operation with neighboring countries, and has a diplomatic relation with 126 countries

China was the first one to ask the Chinese sceintist  and investors  in the United Stated to come back and help China  50 years ago so do Israel and the Jewish.  Soviet Union used to close the door to foreigner specially the US and western countries by using curtain iron to blind the people to the outside world . Now it is about time for Laos to open up.

Former Thai PM gave the advice to the Cambodian government to let the Cambodian in France and all over the world help Cambodia . Why shouldn't Laos do the same ? Just be fair and be top of corruption( don't favor one over the other investors)

Why? Because most Lao Nork are not yet up to the task or the capacity to make a major impact in the Lao Social Economy. The Lao Nork community are still struggling to adjust to their new home in the West and North America. However, the Lao Government have not forgotten them. The Lao Government are aware that not all Lao Refugees are affiliated with the Lao Patikan elements. The Lao Government in the recent year have initiates relations and made goodwill gesture towards these Lao Refugees.

There are some Lao American in Laos right now watching the game and don't know why ? May be PM Bouasone does not want to have any thing to do with the United States and  Lao American.

Lao Nork in general have nothing to do with a few remaining bitter and  sore loser Lao Patikan like you! You're making noise here because majority of Lao Nork are now awared of you lies and misdirection. Hence, thousands of Lao Nork are flocking to visit Laos and attending Lao Embassy function against your group's empty threats and intimidation.

You only know how to criticized the Lao PDR but lacking substance in advancing the Lao Nork's cause and advancement in the West and North America. It's the group of Lao Nork that had no affiliation with your Lao Patikan are making progress and leading the way.

Lao Nork are also aware that not all Lao Nai are Ai-Nong or all high government officials are of Viet blood.

Lol, to say that Lao Nork are not up to the task or have the capacity to influence Laos is an understatement. Lao people whether Nork or Nai in general are very resilient and hard working. We Lao left Laos as victims of war over 30 years ago. But now we live not as victims, instead as survivors. Who in 34 years have been able to adjust in a foreign land, provide for our families(here and in Laos), own properties, and give our children the opportunities to attend some of the best colleges in the World. So please don't underestimate the capacity of Lao people.

I personally think it is time to open up and have a significant reconciliation to all parties to come and join hand to develop our motherland country.  Laos has been a victim of its neiboring countries criticisms of being not civilized or poorest country. We have sufficient human resources, natural resources, as well as our financial that individual has earned to be part in developing the country together.  I still believe that the Lao Government has made the right decision to encourage some laonork to make a significant contribution in developing our coutry together.  To do so, there are many details that all side have to come up with a very legit contribution and security for all those who are willing to be part of the process.  It is time to move the country forward economically as well as politically for the goodwill of all laotian regardless of who we are, where are we from(laonork/laonai).  We have to come and join hand to make a our country to be prosper.....

It is just my thought......
