Hoang Anh Gia Lai signed an investment agreement contract with Lao Government and sold treasury shares for investors

On the morning of August 31, 2009, at the Conference on Investment Promotion of the Lao People's Democratic Republic held at the Rex Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City.Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group has signed with the Lao government two important investment agreement contracts.
According to the first investment agreement contract, Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) is permitted to survey iron ore at Dak Chung district, Xe Kong province, Laos with the estimated reserve about 20 million tons of ore.
For the second agreement contract, HAGL is allowed to explore and make an investment report for hydropower project Nam Kong 3 at Attpeu, Laos with the capacity of 50 MW.
The signing took place in the witness of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - Mr. Nguyễn Minh Triết, Committee Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City - Mr. Le Thanh Hai, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh city People's Committee - Mr. Le Hoang Quan, Standing Deputy Prime Minister of the Lao Democratic People's Republic – Mr. Xomxavat Lengxavat, and other Deputy Ministers of both countries.
At the same day, two subsidiaries of HAGL sold all their shares HAG for two investors under the way of agreement transaction. Hoang Nguyen Housing Construction and Development Company also sold 1,653,720 shares HAG for Dragon Capital investment fund; Hoang Anh Housing Construction and Development JSC sold 1,138,415 shares HAG for Sai Gon Securities Company.

Campuchia also just signed a trade coorporation with Vietnam worth about 6 us billions dollar, in fact Campuchia wanted more from Vietnam, Campuchia asked Vietnam to build a hospital ( like japanese style ) in PnomPenh.
