In a time with bad economy & war you should look into the medical field.

Kid,  go with your heart, do the thing that you like most, and you can stay with it for ever, money is not the whole story.

that would depend on your age and your ability to do well academically.

if you have age and intelligence in your favor,
the army would provide you a good long term career opportunity.

if you really want to joint the military, here is my recommendation;
1. airforce
2. coast guard
3. navy
4. army
5. marines
the airforce personnels live in an ac room, while us(army) live in hot tents and risk our lives
on patrol days in days out. ofcourse that depends on what you really like to do. if you are tough and want to make a career out of military or just want to gain experience before
becoming a police officer or a border patrol or any other reasons, i'd suggest you join army ranger. once you make e-5 than re-up for special forces. you have to be e-5 before you can join sf. if you'd like to gain education while serving in military and you don't care about
living in a floating city, navy carrier is the best place. if you ever join or know anyone in the military, make sure you tell them to keep every medical records and go sick call even a
minor pain this will help you claim va compensation when you get out. little too long but hope i can help out.

Thanks for your advice though but I rather not take this kind of job because I plan either joining the army or police. I just want to know which one is better.

no sweat... i joined army right after highschool in 1985, so i'm an oldschool army.
imho, police officer gets better pay than military and you only work 8 hours day.
you don't get much pay at the beginning, but as you gain rank and time in service,
the pay is not bad at all. and if you do like what i told you, va will also give you compensation(tax free) for the rest of your life besides your military retirement.
my nephew went in for 4 years, now he's getting good tax free money from va and went to work for post office as maintenance tech. another good paying job.
