After Siam razed Vientiane to the ground. The Thais carried off three important Lao Buddhist statues, Phra Souk, Phra Seum and Phra Say. Phra Seum is now in Vat Pathoumvanaram, Thailand, Phra Say in Vat Phoxay, Thailand, and Phra Souk was lost in the Mekong River in the area of Ban Veunsouk.They also took Phra Phuttha Butsavarat, like the Phra Keo, is also enshrined in its own chapel at the Grand Palace in Bangkok. Before the Siamese seized it in the early nineteenth century, this crystal image was the palladium of the Lao kingdom of Champassack.

you're wrong!
Ph is the sounding of the (ພ )  P is the sounding of the (ປ )
There for if your want to refer to a fish in Thai language then it will be written as :
pra = ປຣາ that's without ( H ) mean fish
Phra= ພຣະ with ( H ) mean Buddha.

Thai people call fish as pla, not pra.  ปลา ไม่ใช่ ปรา

Nowaday $$$ is more important,  respect, useful, value for everybody. Those statues are not gonna bring you luck, successful, wealthy, healthy or anything it's just the believe of old peoples. i'm not uderestimate those phra Souk, Seum, Xay. It's just words that make peoples THINK.

What do you mean "it's no good to anyone"? You don't believe in National Treasure?
It's ok to not believe in Buddhism, but please don't insult our religion.

To me, this Buddha statue has significant tied to our history and i'd love to see it
back to our beautiful temple so that people(believers and nonbelievers alike) be able to
see and pay respect.
