On behalf of President Obama and the American people, it is my great pleasure to wish the people of Laos a peaceful and prosperous Lao New Year. This is an opportunity to honor Lao culture and heritage, and to come together to welcome new beginnings and new possibilities.

As we commemorate the 55th anniversary of bilateral relations between the United States and Laos, I look forward to working together to broaden the partnership between our governments and deepen the friendship between our people.

I offer my warmest wishes for a happy and safe holiday.

hahaha.....The end game for Lao Patikans and their Hmong Separatists Allies.  The US Foreign Policy has shift towards Lao PDR. One more victory for the Lao PDR's Foreign Diplomacy.

I agree!! But in order to find that advance thoery, we need education census status to determine if Laos really have enough people to work with in Laos.  As of now, not sure what really Laos have on education status.confuse

The only thing I can think of is farming and a easy life there. LMAO!

To determine what kind of education and numbers of population on certain graduated status.  Also to determine what kind of education Laos need to develop Laos in area that is needed or option of education within Laos.

Not enough info to determine that yet. And for that, most information about Laos education system is lacking of info on not just googles else where online and the international Education.  I'm sure Thailand have more of that info about Lao education, but that information isn't out internationally and should be push ahead by Laos instead.

How are people from around the world going to know about Laos education system if there isn't enough information giving out by Laos? And how are those in the west going to know what really Laos need to create jobs and needs of Laos development without education information?????  And sorry, but all I see online is Thailand needs in many education field and more information then less of Laos education census.  Laos college and and school should provide more net work organization to help give option to educate student in a more better open field, and more opportunity to choose there own careers.  And Laos schooling system is lacking on option still today Laos education!!!! There are still not enough books, computer, papers, pencil, etc.. schools supplying the needs yet in Laos!!

Anyways! Please everyone share you're idea how should Laos manage and educate student for our future kids, and give our option to there choosing careers of a life times as parents and adults.

We want better education and option careers for the Lao student. And to also, push more effort on many programs that will encourage Lao student to be more self independent on there careers choosing.  At the end, jobs and knowledge is created, along with development of the country.

sabaiidee,
I don't think the Laos country has anything near what Vietnam and China do to attract big money and advanced technology. The national characters, the way of life or even the mentality of lao people are still far behind of those viet and chinese people. Lao people are too proud of their way of life which in a way can be an obstacle to some big changes. The pace of life shows nothing to indicate that the country can take on big businesses or some new advanced technology. Let's say for instance : HP wants to set up a plant for a completely new line of product from design up to sale of a new model of computer, is the country going to be able to support it ? My point is that Laos still needs to show the world that it has adequate resources to become another vietnam, let alone China. Every one wants more money and new technology, I mean in a legitimate way, but it's easier said than done.
my 2 kips
